You won’t have more fun than swimming with sea lions in Banderas Bay at the beautiful coastal oasis of Las Caletas. Snorkeling at this gorgeous site above a splendid coral reef is worth the trip in our motorized catamaran, but when you add our fully-trained sea lions to the mix, this tour will be the most memorable activity that you enjoy while visiting Puerto Vallarta. The sea lions are playful and intelligent marine mammals that enjoy interacting with people in the warm waters of Banderas Bay. These mischievous scamps truly enjoy performing tricks and games with tour participants. These delightful animals will leave a lasting impression on you; you’ll be surprised to see how intelligent, curious, and fun sea lions really are.

The secluded cove of Las Caletas is a pristine and secluded coastal destination that attracts divers and snorkelers due to its splendid beauty, crystalline waters, and thriving coral garden full of prismatic tropical fish. Join our friendly bilingual dive guides to snorkel in this teeming marine environment. The biodiversity in the waters of Las Caletas is astonishing; you will be amazed at the amount of aquatic species living in such a relatively small area. After some snorkeling, you can relax and enjoy a delectable lunch buffet and with a refreshing beverage. Relax and catch some rays on the snow-white sands of Las Caletas beach. There are plentiful activities available for visitors to enjoy, including a nature hike, Paella cooking lessons near the shore, and kayaking in the cove with a naturalist guide.

It is your responsibility to make sure you are aware of and understand all restrictions pertaining to this tour before booking online or over the phone. It is your responsibility to ensure that you are medically qualified and within any limits listed below in order to participate in this activity. No refunds will be given to those who reserve a spot and can not participate due to the restrictions listed below.   • Cruise ship passengers must book directly with their cruise line
  • Tour is only available Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays
  • Divers must hold a valid certification card to participate in our diving programs or Non-certified divers need to complete a Discover Scuba pool lesson before their first dive. Beginner dive classes and PADI certification courses are also available
  • Certified divers must bring certification card/log-book
  • Certified divers who have not dove in the past year will be required to take a scuba refresher course with Vallarta Adventures before going to the ocean
  • Non-certified divers will only be allowed to participate in the one tank dive
  • Certified divers are automatically entitled to participate in 2 tank dives down to a maximum depth of 60 ft
  • Advanced divers can participate in 2 tank dives down to a maximum depth of 120 ft
  • Supervision is normally 1 Dive master to 3 diver pairs using the buddy system. If there is an uneven number of guests, a seventh person will be paired with the dive master
  • Diving within 18 hours of your flight home is not recommended
  • An Acknowledgement of Risk will need to be signed before participating in any of our dive programs
  • All divers must be in good health and:
  • Not have present any respiratory, cardiovascular or ear problems
  • Be in good mental and physical condition for diving
  • Avoid being under the influence of alcohol or drugs before or while diving
  • Must be at least 10 years old, not be pregnant and not have plans to fly within 18 hours after last completed dive
