This locale is well known for its towering undersea pinnacles formed by ancient volcanic eruptions. Las Caletas is a splendid cove that offers a much more serene coral garden with a kaleidoscopic array of tropical fish. This shallow reef begins paces from the beach in only twenty-five feet of water and extends out to Banderas Bay where it reaches depths of ninety feet.
