Mayto Beach ATV Tour Overview
Ride into the vibrant landscape outside of Puerto Vallarta on one of our top-of-the-line, fully-automatic 350-cc Yamaha four wheelers. These powerful ATV’s can handle even the most challenging terrain. This is an outstanding method to view the local culture away from the tourist areas of downtown Puerto Vallarta. This excursion allows you to experience more of the authentic local flavor, rather than the artificial culture that you may find in the touristy areas. Not only will you visit two quaint local villages, but also a pristine beach, Playa Mayto.
Your tour will begin as your English-fluent trail guides lead you over mountain roads to the sleepy town of Llano Grande. Once you arrive at this old-world hamlet, you can relax at an outdoor cantina to enjoy an ice-cold beer; the gracious inhabitants of this small town are always pleased to welcome visitors and share their unique culture.
From Llano Grande, you will continue this off road excursion to the quiet seaside village of Tehuamixtle. This town is renowned in the region for its traditional fishing culture. They always have the freshest catch in this town of commercial anglers; the seafood dishes that they serve in the local restaurants are beyond compare. If you stroll down to the docks, you may even see your lunch arrive after it was just caught.
After satisfying your hunger with a scrumptious seafood meal in Tehuamixtle, the caravan of ATV’s will head to the ultimate destination, Mayto Beach. This pristine stretch of snow-white sand borders the vast Pacific Ocean. Typically local residents of the region are drawn to this coastal oasis due to its scenic beauty and bright blue waters. This oceanside paradise has plenty of activities to offer visitors, including a swimming pool, beach volleyball, and a trampoline. Kids and adults alike really enjoy the fun activities at Playa Mayto. You will be delighted to take a tour of the University of Guadalajara Marine Turtle Research Facility, where you can see adult turtles as well as their hatchlings. The entire family will love this fun-packed adventure tour.
