This extensive coral reef offers a variety of dive spots at various depths, ranging from fifteen feet to ninety feet, offering both scuba diving veterans as well as beginners some fascinating places to dive. Located at the border of the Bay with the Pacific Ocean, this reef acts as a cleaning station for a variety of oceanic species. This particular locale is also world renowned for the huge Pacific Manta Rays, displaying a wingspan up to fourteen feet, that are often spotted in the area. These graceful giants swarm the area to feed on the abundant plankton that can be found near the reef. You may also view a large Moray Eel as it peers out from a crevice. The world famous oceanographer and underwater filmmaker, Jacques Cousteau, first brought the diverse submerged beauty near the Marietas Islands to the attention of the world in one of his documentaries.
