El Sequial Scuba Adventure Overview

If you are an experienced scuba diver, you should join our savvy dive-masters for a trip out to the open waters of the Pacific to dive at El Sequial. This location is known for its prevalence of big pelagic species that sweep into the reef from the deepwater channels to hunt for schools of feeder fish. This excellent diving location is home to precipitous drops, sheer undersea walls, and a large mesa-like plain. This table-like expanse is surrounded by tremendous trenches that drop to remarkable depths over a mile deep.

This underwater mesa is sixty to eighty feet deep, and three hundred feet in length. This expansive underwater field offers plenty for an inquisitive diver to explore. You will have ample time to view El Sequial's amazing environment that teems with marine life. Perhaps the most beautiful attraction at this site is the expanse of black coral. This mysterious-looking forest of onyx-colored growth is a rare site to explore. In addition to the black coral garden, divers will witness an astounding variety of different coral growth on the mesa.

You’ll see far more large fish species here because of the site’s proximity to the deep water Pacific currents. And though there are also plenty more sharks species in this area, there is no need to worry, because our experienced dive-masters are familiar with shark behavior in this region. They will always be vigilant in order to ensure diver safety.

Even though El Sequial is a longer voyage from the docks of Marina Vallarta, the unusual undersea attractions at this site are well worth the journey.
