Corbetena Scuba Adventure Overview

This scuba diving destination of Corbetena offers an exciting dive opportunity for advanced diving enthusiasts. This unique site, located forty miles away from Puerto Vallarta in the Pacific Ocean, offers a full range of depths from forty to one hundred and twenty feet. This diving location is a dream spot for veteran divers; it is home to a dazzling array of exotic species, coral formations, interesting rocky structures, large pelagic species, and great visibility.

Corbetena is also home to an array of towering pinnacles, formed by lava eons ago. You will have to dive deeply, and negotiate strong currents to see the amazing, but will appreciate the sight of these dramatic towers. In order to be eligible to participate in this excursion, you are required to have logged more than two hundred dives. This is no trip for an amateur. Expert divers will appreciate the forty mile trip when they witness the plentiful tunnels, swim-throughs, caves, and steep drop-off. The varied and interesting topography is really the main attraction on this dive. Our savvy English-fluent dive-masters will be supervising all participants in order to ensure everyone’s safety.

The best time to dive at Corbetena is during the summer months, when the giant mantas are most prevalent and the visibility is best, approaching a distance of one hundred feet. This site is also an excellent spot to witness large pelagic species sweeping in from the deepwater Pacific currents into the area to hunt for feeder fish. We provide breakfast, lunch, and all necessary scuba gear on this exciting excursion.
