Enjoy a fun-filled half day excursion in the beautiful environs of Bahia de Banderas (Banderas Bay) with our expert naturalist English-fluent guides. You’ll enjoy a thrilling combination tour that includes both kayaking and snorkeling with the knowledgeable personnel of Ecotours de Mexico.

This fantastic combo adventure starts at Marina Vallarta, just north of downtown Puerto Vallarta along the shores of the splendid Bahia de Banderas (Banderas Bay), the third biggest bay in Mexico. Bahia de Banderas is one of the deepest bays on the globe, reaching amazing depths of up to two miles. The steep lush foothills of the Sierra Madres border this massive body of water. You’ll be transported to the remote fishing hamlet of Boca de Tomatlan, where you will depart for a fantastic guided trip paddling a sea kayak. Our destination will be the pristine cove, Colomitos, where you can enjoy snorkeling above a teeming coral garden full of colorful tropical fish; this protected cove has superior clarity, allowing snorkelers to have an unobstructed view on this beautiful undersea wonderland beneath the surface in Colomitos Cove.

The idyllic conditions of the serene, transparent depths of this cove draw snorkelers and divers from all over the planet. A fascinating array of undersea life inhabits this area, including plentiful tropical fish species, giant mantas, marine turtles, and bottlenose dolphins. This pristine cove offers visitors some of the most amazing snorkeling on the globe; the remote tropical oasis of Colomitos remains hidden from most of the general public, but Eco Tours can guide you to this coastal paradise.

Under the surface, you can experience firsthand views of morays, puffers, angelfish, giant damsels, reef cornets, sergeant majors, as well as rainbow wrasses. The habitat inland is home to plenty of natural marvels, including tropical songbirds like macaws and caciques as well as native mammals like foxes, armadillos, ocelots, and raccoons. Iguanas and land-dwelling mountain crabs can also be seen in the forest.

Round trip ground transportation as well as all kayaking and snorkeling gear is included in the price of this tour. We also provide a scrumptious complimentary lunch for all participants.
